SERIES: THE SAMARITAN

The Samaritan Series is one of intrigue and holy adventure. The meaning of the word Samaria speaks to a Watch Station or Look Out like that of a Tower. Therefore, those of Samaria are those that are constantly on the look out or keep watch, like that of watching unto prayer or simply having their focus or watch heavenward.

Elisha, the Prophet of a double portion of the Spirit of Elijah, who was in Samaria had no time to be entangled with money and clothes. He was on the mission for His Lord ministering by the counsel of an adjuration in the cleansing of the Lord's servant. And He reinforced the precedent set by Joshua and the Captain of the Lord's Hosts but instead of destruction it was for restoration, cleansing and wholeness.

Jesus, who was a 'Samaritan Prophet', having the Spirit of God from His mother's womb and then the second portion at His anointing as Messiah and yet God gives Him not the Spirit by limits, underscores the role of the Samaritan Prophet in the account of 'The Good Samaritan' subtetly outlining how he watches unto prayer in his ministry to his neigbour by an adjuration.

He also subtetly outlines that whereas Gehazi and his seed of Samaria was cursed forever with leprosy that those who are cleansed and made whole of sins are 'the Samaritan'. You should pay keen attention in this instance as to what identify those who are cleansed as true Samaritans. Remember ten were cleansed but only one returned, worshipped and with aloud voice gave thanks and praised God for his cleansing.

Jesus went on to identify His Church as belonging to Samaria. Yea, She that was barren hath born 7! View His encounter from this perspective when you review He and the Woman of Samaria who had 5 husbands, and the one with whom she was with then was not her husband. Jesus was the 7th or Shehbah Man with whom she had more than a passing fancy. And He bethrothed her in righteousness when at the 7th Hour: the hour had come when the true worshippers shall worship God in Spirit and in truth. And she got a refreshing from the Lord and went in haste to call the other 6 men who came and heard him for themselves and believed that He was the Prophet and the Messiah which was to come into the World. Thus 'the Woman' was made whole and all these 7 men was 'born or begotten' of her.

As you all know the Samaritans had no dealings with the Jews, yet 'the Woman' was on the lookout for the Messiah and when she met Him and had communion with Him she knew He was the Saviour of the World as He showed her 'all that she did in her own life' and she went and tell the others. The Jews on he other hand plotted His death and killed one of their own. As the Samaritans were rejected by the Jews, even so was the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ was rejected by His Nation. He however, outlined that His Church is of Samaria and would be rejected also of His country men.
